Alice Newcombe-Ellis
Alice Newcombe-Ellis is the Founding & Managing Partner of Ahren Innovation Capital.
Alice has over a decade of investing experience, including at TPG Capital (leading global private equity firm with >$70BN AUM) and Lansdowne Partners (leading investment firm with >$15BN AUM). Her predominant investing focus has been in tech and disruptive healthcare.
Alice holds a Double First Class degree in Mathematics, and Master’s in Mathematics/Physics from the University of Cambridge. She was a Fulbright Scholar and a Baker Scholar at Harvard Business School.

Catherine Tilley
Catherine Tilley is an IfM doctoral student working on industrial sustainability under the supervision of Professor Steve Evans.
Catherine joined the IfM from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) where she was Director of Education, and she is extremely interested in the role education plays in driving industrial sustainability. Prior to this, she spent 14 years at McKinsey & Company, where she held a series of posts, including working as a leader of the global Organisation Practice, and as Operations Director for the Strategy & Trend Analysis Centre. Between 2010 and 2012, Catherine led McKinsey’s European research function, including establishing a substantial Knowledge Centre in Wroclaw, Poland. Additionally, Catherine was extremely active as faculty for McKinsey’s educational programmes.
She holds an MA degree from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from Manchester Business School.
